among the siddhas (after Lord Siva). Compared with Siva he deserves
equal respect. He got his Gnanopadesam from Lord Karthikeya. Agasthiya
gave the world the Tamil grammer. When the Himalaya started raising
up, he came down to Podhigai mountain in extreme South, and balanced
both North and South. He has written many scriptures on Yoga and medicine.
He rooted out the ego of Vindhyachal. He stuffed the whole of River
Cauvery in his Kamadhalu. After getting mantra sastra known as 'YEMA KALAI', from Lord Siva, he taught the same to his disciple 'THE-RAIYAR'. Agastya exists from time immemorial. Under his
direct guidance the temple was being run from June 02-2002 to June 03-2003. |
